Artwork Ready Checklist

A visual concept becomes a supplier dieline, then prepared production artwork, then a reviewed proof. Approve the exact version before a separate production release. A Canva concept is a reference, not an approved dieline.

□ Identify the structure

Record the project, product, dimensions, units and whether dimensions are internal or external. Include inserts, windows and the intended pack-out.

□ Use the supplier-approved dieline

Check its revision and size. Identify cut, fold, bleed, safe and glue areas, orientation and print sides. Use the supplier’s actual tolerances; do not assume universal bleed or resolution settings.

□ Prepare the artwork

Provide suitable vector logos, images at the intended output size, linked assets and clearly identified colors and finishes. Ask the supplier for the required file format, color profile and treatment of fonts.

□ Confirm rights

Confirm permission for images, logos, text and fonts. Packaging files together does not grant a license to distribute fonts or other third-party assets.

□ Check every panel

Review spelling, orientation, placement, dimensions, color intent and required product copy. A production-readiness check does not replace your proofreading, legal review, barcode verification or regulatory review.

□ Approve the exact proof

Record the artwork filename and version, dieline revision, proof identifier, reviewer and approval date. Any subsequent change needs a new review. Approval does not itself authorize manufacturing.
